These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Sentinel AV website at sentinelav.com and any products or services we offer through it. Sentinel AV is an independent audio software developer based in Victoria, Australia. By using our website or purchasing our plugins, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using our website, subscribing to our newsletter, or purchasing one of our plugins, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, our End User License Agreement, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or products.

2. Products and services

Sentinel AV develops and sells digital audio plugins (VST, VST3, AU, and other formats) for use in compatible host applications. Some of our plugins are free to download; others are sold as paid products via our payment processor, Gumroad.

All paid plugins are licensed, not sold, and your use of them is subject to our End User License Agreement.

3. Refunds

3.1 14-day satisfaction refund

We offer a 14-day satisfaction refund on paid plugins. If you change your mind or are otherwise unhappy with your purchase, you may request a refund within 14 days of the date of purchase by emailing sentinel@sentinelav.com.au with your order number. Once a refund is issued, your license is terminated and you must uninstall the Software.

This 14-day refund is a voluntary policy offered by Sentinel AV in addition to your statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law. It is not required by law, and it does not limit any rights you have under the ACL.

3.2 Australian Consumer Law

Our products come with consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. If a product has a major failure — for example, if it is unsafe, substantially different from how we describe it, or cannot reasonably be used for the purpose for which we sell it — you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or other remedy under the ACL, regardless of whether the 14-day satisfaction window has passed.

4. License agreement

All Sentinel AV plugins are subject to the End User License Agreement (EULA). You should read the EULA before installing or using any of our plugins. The EULA covers what you can and cannot do with the Software, ownership, warranties, limitations of liability, and termination.

You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, share license keys, or reverse-engineer our plugins.

5. User responsibilities

You agree to use our website and our products lawfully. You may not use our website or plugins for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, attempt to interfere with our website’s normal operation, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems.

6. Intellectual property

All content on our website — including the Software, source code, graphics, audio samples, presets, demo recordings, text, and design — is the intellectual property of Sentinel AV or its licensors. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification is prohibited.

Audio that you produce using our plugins belongs to you and is not subject to any obligation to Sentinel AV.

7. Privacy

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect, who processes it on our behalf, and the rights you have over it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sentinel AV is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of our website or our products. Our maximum total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant product in the twelve months preceding the claim.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

9. Amendments

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or products after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Significant changes may be announced via our newsletter.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws in force in the State of Victoria, Australia. You and Sentinel AV submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of appeal from them, in respect of any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms.
