End User License Agreement (EULA)

Effective date: 11/04/2026

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“End User” or “you”) and Sentinel AV (“we,” “us,” or “our”), an independent audio software developer based in Victoria, Australia. It governs your use of our audio plugins and any associated documentation, samples, presets, and updates (“Software”). By installing, activating, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.

1. Grant of license

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Sentinel AV grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the Software for personal or commercial audio production purposes. The license takes effect once your purchase has been completed (or, for free products, once you have downloaded the Software).

You may install and activate the Software on any computer that you personally own or that is under your exclusive control, for your own use. The license is granted to you as an individual; if you are using the Software on behalf of an organization, that organization must hold its own license for each individual user.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Resell, sublicense, lease, rent, lend, or otherwise commercially redistribute the Software or your license key.
  • Share your license key with any other person.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Software, except to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this restriction.
  • Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Software.
  • Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices in the Software.
  • Use the Software to develop a competing product.

Audio that you produce using the Software belongs to you. You are free to use, distribute, and sell that audio without any obligation to Sentinel AV.

3. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. Sentinel AV (and its licensors, where applicable) retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights. No rights are granted to you other than those expressly set out in this Agreement.

4. Updates and support

Sentinel AV may, at its discretion, provide updates, patches, bug fixes, or new versions of the Software. Updates are provided on the same license terms as the original Software unless we explicitly say otherwise.

Technical support is provided by email at sentinel@sentinelav.com.au on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee any specific response time or resolution.

5. Refunds

5.1 14-day satisfaction refund

Sentinel AV offers a 14-day satisfaction refund on paid plugins. If you are unhappy with a plugin for any reason, you may request a refund within 14 days of the date of purchase by emailing sentinel@sentinelav.com.au with your order number. Once a refund is issued, your license is terminated and you must uninstall the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.

This 14-day refund is a voluntary policy offered by Sentinel AV in addition to your statutory rights. It is not required by Australian Consumer Law and does not limit those rights in any way.

5.2 Australian Consumer Law

Our plugins come with consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot be excluded. If a plugin has a major failure — for example, if it is unsafe, substantially different from how we describe it, or cannot reasonably be used for the purpose for which we sell it — you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or other remedy as set out in the ACL, regardless of whether the 14-day window has passed.

For more information about your rights as a consumer, see the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission website at accc.gov.au.

6. Warranty disclaimer

Except for the consumer guarantees that apply under the Australian Consumer Law and any other rights you have that cannot legally be excluded, the Software is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sentinel AV disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will meet your requirements, that it will operate uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will be compatible with every host application or operating system version.

Nothing in this section is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law where such exclusion would be unlawful.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sentinel AV’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Software or this Agreement — whether in contract, tort, statute, or otherwise — is limited to the amount you actually paid for the Software in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or interruption of business, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law. Where liability for a breach of a consumer guarantee can be limited under the ACL, our liability is limited (at our option) to the replacement of the Software, the supply of equivalent software, or the payment of the cost of having the Software replaced or re-supplied.

8. Termination

This Agreement is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically and without notice if you breach any of its terms. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling the Software and destroying all copies in your possession. On termination, all rights granted to you under this Agreement cease, and you must stop using the Software and destroy all copies you have.

Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as set out in section 5 or as required by law.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws in force in the State of Victoria, Australia. You and Sentinel AV submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of appeal from them, in respect of any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement.

10. Entire agreement

This Agreement, together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Sentinel AV concerning the Software, and supersedes any prior agreement or understanding.
